By the way, in case anyone thinks we baked this pie, I'm sorry to report we didn't think of it. I am a Fall pie baker only, for the most part. We did indeed enjoy Shepherd's Pie for dinner that evening and yes that was planned for Pi Day.
My favorite irrational number, when Jeff first asked me this question at dinner on 3/14, was e. But then we remembered that the square root of 2 is also one, and I always did like geometry...so maybe I'll say the square root of two.
Even your own mother thought you made it! Good idea, though, and we all know you certainly COULD make one so beautiful!
I like how three out of four comments say nothing about a favorite irrational number. Maybe it is just not cool to like numbers.
