So, a couple weeks back, we went to the Christmas parade here in Provo. It was basically amazing. It was snowing a bit, but, it was fun. Jacob enjoyed going. He seemed delighted to be able to participate in such an event. Granted, all he did was just sleep in his little carriage, but, he did seem pleased. Here is Stacey and Jacob (inside his carriage/cocoon) with Santa Claus at the parade.
Interestingly, pushing Jacob around in his little carriage, all enclosed and protected, reminded me a lot of the popemobile. In many ways, Jacob is a lot like the Pope. They are both close to one end of life. Both are loved and cherished by all who know them. Both have some baldness issues (well, the old Pope had more baldness issues than the current See). Both are celibate. And, of course, both ride around in a protected, comfortable, padded little carriage. So, yep, Jacob and the Pope.
